You may have some burning questions on what racing is like after the pandemic. We hope to be rid of all restrictions in 2022 but here are some FAQS to help ease your mind…
Staff working indoors will abide by Government guidance where appropriate but will be asked to wear a face-covering in areas where they will be in close contact with lots of other people, particularly indoors.
Should an individual subsequently test positive for Covid-19 having attended a race meeting, the venue will be issued with a recommendation notice to be tested. This means that if you attended we will contact you and encourage you to take a test as soon as possible.
You will only be asked to self-isolate if this test proves to be positive. If you were in close contact with the individual who tested positive, you will be contacted by Track and Trace and asked to self-isolate as per Government guidance.
Racegoers are allowed to take a small amount of alcohol (4x beers per person or half bottle of wine) into both the Picnic Enclosure and the Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure.
You are NOT permitted to bring your own alcohol into the Premier Enclosure. There will be plenty of concession stands and bars serving food and drink in each enclosure.
Pontefract will continue to provide copious opportunities for racegoers to sanitise their hands, with alcoholic gel stations and wash basin facilities provided.
We are now accepting on the day walk-ins.
Booking in advance is cheaper and also permits considerably faster entry on the day compared to walk-ups.
All bars will accept both cash and card.
All enclosures are now available to the public. Book now.
There will be tote facilities open in the areas where you have booked tickets.
Alternatively, there will be a number of bookmakers on site on each raceday.
If you’re considering booking a table in a restaurant, please note that there will be a limited number of tables and we advise booking your packages in advance to avoid disappointment.
All car parking is free of charge and is in the Park itself.
Parking is available in the Picnic Enclosure at a cost of £20 per car with a maximum of 4 adult occupants. This price includes a racecard and your entry into the Picnic Enclosure.
For those of you who’ve booked a Private Hospitality box, car parking labels for the Hospitality Car Park will be sent out with your admission badges.
Parking for coaches is, again, free of charge.
Complimentary Grandstand & Paddock passes are available for coach drivers who present their Driver’s Manifest/Worksheet at the turnstile. If you’re coming by coach, please ask for a ‘Coach Pass’ when you book.
