THERE ARE A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT OPTIONS FOR EATING AND DRINKING AT THE RACECOURSE.
From the exclusivity and luxury of the Private Boxes to Yorkshire’s famous Fish & Chips from one of the mobile units around the Racecourse. From a glass of Champagne in the Champagne Bar to a pint of good old Yorkshire bitter in the Picnic Enclosure.
Racegoers can also build their own tailor made package to suit their precise requirements with our new Raceday Experiences.

There are several different dining options at Pontefract Racecourse including The Park Suite or Dine & View, to the more casual Self Service Restaurant in the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure.
The Park Suite in the Premier Enclosure offers you a reserved table for the whole meeting.
With tables overlooking the Winning Post or the Parade Ring, it’s the ideal choice for those who would like to have a base for the day, whilst enjoying exquisite cuisine.

The Premier Dining Room is located in the Main Stand and has tables overlooking the Finishing Straight and the Parade Ring.
Whilst you do not have the table for the full afternoon, it means that you can enjoy some excellent food and then get straight out to the Parade Ring and on to the Course so that you don’t miss a minute of the equine action!

The Premier Sports Cafe Bar is situated on the ground floor of the Dalby Stand. It has its own terrace and adjoins the Champagne Bar.
Serving a selection of hot rolls, panini’s, sandwiches and cakes, along with a number of hot daily specials and salads, it’s the ideal place for quick, informal dining while you pick out the winner of the next race!
This package offers smaller groups of private individuals or corporate groups the opportunity to dine in style in one of the Dalby Stand Private boxes. You and your guests will have a private table reserved for the day, a waitress served luncheon, a private bar facility and enjoy all the racing action from a private viewing balcony, with toilet and betting facilities conveniently located close-by.

The only restaurant in the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure is the Paddock Dining Room, located on the top floor of the Main Stand.

The ‘Pizza In The Paddock’ Bar offer freshly cooked pizzas and craft ale. The bar also has its own large terraced area offering racegoers more seating and a fantastic alternative location to watch the racing from.

The fabulous new Pavilion Cafe is open in the Picnic Enclosure.
In a previous life, the Pavilion Cafe was initially a betting office but was fully renovated and refurbished during 2020 and now provides one of the best appointed cafes in any Picnic Enclosure at any racecourse.
With hot and cold snacks available and a fully licenced bar, the Pavilion has its own terrace, toilets and tote betting facilities and provides Picnic Enclosure racegoers with a lovely new facility to enjoy the racing from.

We offer a variety of different raceday experiences on our Sunday Family Day Race Meetings – from entry for the whole family to packages in the luxury of the Private Hospitality Boxes in the Dalby Stand!

In 2024 we are reintroducing our Family Sundays ticket option! On these Sunday race days (23rd June, 28th July and 18th August), we offer a special Family Ticket.
This costs £28 and admits 2 adults and their children (under 18) into the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure – that’s a total saving of £9!
Family tickets are available:
– Online by clicking here
– Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm from the Racecourse Administration Offices
– 9am to 1pm on the Saturday before the race meeting from the Racecourse Administration Offices.
– Online up to midnight the night before the Race Meeting.
Family Tickets are NOT available on a raceday.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FAMILY TICKET DOES NOT ADMIT INTO THE PICNIC ENCLOSURE CAR PARK.
Instead, Family Ticket Holders should park in the park itself and then use the Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure Turnstiles. Once in the racecourse, Family Ticket Holders have access to the Parade Ring Area and Grandstand and Paddock Enclosure along with being able to access the children’s entertainment in the Picnic Enclosure.
