Safety and Security

Security marshalls will be carrying out bag searches at ALL entrances ahead of racing so please make sure that you allow plenty of time for admission into the Racecourse.

 

These measures are for all racegoers’ safety and security so that everyone has an enjoyable time with us with fantastic racing and brilliant entertainment.

Food and Drink on Racedays

Racegoers are permitted to bring a small amount of alcohol as part of a picnic into any enclosure OTHER THAN the Premier Enclosure.

 

This equates to a maximum of 4 cans per person or half a bottle of wine per person. However, please note that no glass bottles can be brought in to the enclosures. If you would rather bring spirits, please bring the pre-mixed cans.

 

There are a number of fast food outlets around the Racecourse, as well as Restaurants and Bars. A full list of all food outlets is available here.

Racing TV

There’s nothing like a day at the races, but if you can’t make it, then all the races at Pontefract are shown live on Racing TV.
