Raceday hospitality is a great way to entertain people. Providing an excellent position on the course, our facilities all have a private balcony for that all-important view, bar and betting facilities, as well as plenty of options when it comes to catering.

Pontefract Racecourse offer Private Hospitality Suites in 2 fantastic locations.


The Dalby Stand houses 18 Private Boxes which can accommodate parties from 10 to 150 people when fully opened up.


With views straight down the finishing straight, or over the Parade Ring, the views are amongst the best on the entire Racecourse.


The Pipalong Room holds up to 25 people and is the only Box in the Main Stand. Looking out directly on to the Winning Post, it’s an incredible place to be, right in the heart of the action.


All 2024 fixtures are priced at Standard Rates with the exception of the 3 Premium Racedays below:

  • Friday Evening 24th May
  • Friday Evening 19th July
  • Wednesday 7th August (Ladies Day)


Hospitality prices are quoted as ‘Standard’ or ‘Premium’.


Please note there is a minimum of 8 guests in all hospitality boxes.

All Inclusive Packages

Our range of All Inclusive Packages makes hospitality bookings for any number of guests a simple process.

Each Package is charged PER PERSON and includes:

  • Hospitality Box Charge
  • Admission Badge
  • Food (dependent on your chosen package)
  • Racecard & Pen


We offer the following all inclusive packages:

  • Gold Dining Package – Champagne Reception with canapés, silver served four course lunch with coffee and full afternoon tea.
  • Gold Buffet Package – Champagne Reception with canapés, special collation of hot and cold buffet with coffee and full afternoon tea.
  • Silver Dining Package – Silver served three course lunch with coffee and light afternoon tea.
  • Silver Buffet Package – A hot finger buffet served with cocktail sandwiches and pies, followed by a choice of dessert and tea/coffee.

Box Only Packages

If you simply want to enjoy the ambience of your own private box and do not require food as part of your box package, we offer ‘box only packages’ whereby you simply pay for the box hire and the badges that you require. You can then ‘build your own’ package by adding in any catering requirements that you have to meet your specific needs.


Please note that you are not able to bring your own food and drink into the Private Boxes.

Drinks Packages

We also offer a range of drinks packages to suit every budget.


There are a number of options:

  • Set up an account bar whereby you’re able to settle your drinks bill at the end of the day and your clients do not need to pay for a thing.
  • Have a cash bar where drinks are paid for as they are purchased.
  • Put a certain amount ‘behind the bar’ which, once spent, will then turn to a cash bar facility or


Special Offers

If you book one of our Private Hospitality Boxes for any race meeting between May and September (inclusive), then you will automatically qualify for a FREE box at any of the meetings in April or October in the same season (subject to availability).


The Box is provided FREE OF CHARGE – you will simply need to pay for any admission badges that you require and any catering requirements that you may have.


The ‘Free Box’ offer is available on:

Monday 22nd April
Monday 7th October
Monday 21st October

Payment Terms

To secure a booking, we will require a deposit of £300 + VAT for ‘Standard’ Race Meetings.


We will require a deposit of £500 + VAT for the three Premium Racedays on.


Full payment is required six weeks prior to the event and admission badges will only be sent once full payment has been received.

Annual Boxes

We are occasionally asked about the possibility of taking a Box for the whole season.

Packages in a Shared Facility

If you are coming racing in a smaller group, but would still like to enjoy the facilities from the Dalby Stand Private Boxes, we have a couple of options for smaller groups to dine in the Dalby Stand.


The Dalby Stand Buffet

The Dalby Stand Buffet option allows smaller groups or corporate parties the opportunity to enjoy a buffet in one of the Dalby Stand boxes.


The Dalby Buffet is available on every raceday except Sunday meetings.


Your raceday experience will include:

  • Admission to the Premier Enclosure
  • A table for the day in the Dalby Stand boxes
  • Racecard
  • Grazing buffet
  • Dessert

The Dalby Stand Buffet is £64 for Midweek/ Monday Evening Fixtures and £69 for Friday Evening’s.

Dine & View

The Dine & View package offers smaller groups of private individuals or corporate groups the opportunity to dine in style in one of the Dalby Stand Private boxes.  With limited spaces available you and your guests will have a private table reserved for the day, waitress served luncheon, a private bar facility and enjoy all the racing action from a private viewing balcony, with toilet and pool betting facilities conveniently located close-by.


Priced at just £125 + VAT per person, the Dine & View package offers:

  • Badge Wallet containing the day’s itinerary and general information
  • Reserved Car Parking
  • Entrance to the Racecourse and VIP Dalby Stand Box Badge
  • Three Course Luncheon
  • Light Afternoon Tea
  • Cash Bar Facility
  • Pool Betting Service
  • Racecard & Pen
  • Closed Circuit Television with full race coverage

Sunday Special

The Sunday Specials are available on every Sunday raceday.

Priced at £69, they are a fantastic way to spend your Sunday afternoon raceday at Ponte! Your raceday experience will include:

  • Admission to the Premier Enclosure
  • A table for the day in the Dalby Stand boxes
  • Racecard
  • 2 Course (Main and Dessert) Sunday Carvery.
