Pontefract Racecourse boasts a stunning parkland location with Pontefract Park contained within the course boundary. Easily accessible, being just half a mile from junction 32 off the M62, the racecourse is ideally situated with close links to both the M1 and the A1.

 

The team at the Racecourse will guide you through your booking over the phone or via email. For conferences or events UP TO 30 people, our onsite catering team, Huggamug, will look after your event. Our award-winning catering partners, CGC Event Caterers, cater for groups OVER 30 PEOPLE. Both the Racecourse team and CGC Event Caterers understand the importance of clear communication, great service and attention to detail to ensure your event is a success.

Conferences and Meetings

Our day delegate packages are a great way to book your meeting or conference with us.

 

You know right from the start what’s included and how much it will cost.

 

Whether you’re catering for a large party, hosting a meeting for a small team or just after teas and coffees and room hire, we can tailor the package or add on extras to fit your budget.

 

Smaller Groups (Under 30 People)

The team at the Racecourse will guide you through your booking over the phone or via email. For conferences or events UP TO 30 people, our onsite catering team, Huggamug @ The Pavilion, will look after your event.

 

All of our day delegate packages include:

– Hire of a dedicated room for your Conference
– Professional event management before and throughout your event
– Staff on call to look after you and your delegates and invited guests
– No Minimum number of delegates required
– Caberet, boardroom and U-shape styles also include: paper and pens
– Choice of Breakfast and Lunch Menus

Larger Groups (Over 30 People)

The team at the Racecourse will guide you through your booking over the phone or via email. Our award winning catering partners, CGC Event Caterers, manage the catering for parties of 30 or more.

 

The CGC conference menus are all freshly prepared using as many locally sourced ingredients as possible. They are also flexible, meaning you can create a menu to suit your event; whether that means you need something quick and easy as you’re short on time for lunch, or you’re looking to impress delegates and guests with a real feast, our menus can accommodate for whatever your needs may be.

 

Day delegate packages include:

  • Hire of your main conference suite
  • Professional event management on hand throughout your event
  • Event staffing from 8.00am to 5.00pm to look after you and your delegates and invited guests.
  • A minimum number of 15 delegates required.
  • Cabaret, boardroom and U-shape styles also include:
    – Folders, papers and pens
    – Mints
    – Iced water

You can add extras on to any of our day delegate packages. Popular items include:

  • Additional servings of tea, coffee and biscuits
  • Danish pastries and bacon rolls
  • Projector screens
  • Flipcharts with pads and pens
  • LCD projectors
  • VGA splitters
  • PA systems with speakers and microphones

Weddings and Parties

With beautifully kept grounds, plentiful free parking and a range of different suites, the racecourse provides a unique and interesting venue in which to deliver a wide range of event styles. The racecourse provides plenty of space as well as stunning surroundings.

Holding an Event in Pontefract Park

Events take place in the Park throughout the year. The Park itself is owned and run by Wakefield Council and all non raceday events are run by them.
