HOW DO I GET THERE?

Getting to Pontefract couldn't be easier as we're just 1/2 a mile from Junction 32 of the M62 and there are directional signs from the motorway.

We're also within a mile of the A1/M62 junction and within 10 miles of the M1/M62 junction so it's accessible from all over the country.

TRAINS

There are 3 stations at Pontefract - Monkhill, Baghill and Tanshelf.

Tanshelf is more or less opposite the Racecourse and is on the mainline from Wakefield to Goole

Monkhill is about 2 miles from the course and connects with trains from Leeds and Wakefield and also has a direct service from London.

Baghill is also about 2 miles from the course and connects with trains from York and Sheffield.

As an alternative, Glasshoughton (on the Leeds to Pontefract line) is also within a couple of miles of the racecourse and drops you off at the Xscape complex and Junction 32 retail park - so if you fancy a quick shop or a bite to eat then it's a good idea to get off here!
