To celebrate all that’s good about racing in the county, ‘Go Racing In Yorkshire’ is organising the third special Summer Yorkshire Racing Festival in 2012, highlighting the meetings between 21st and 29th July.

The meetings:

Saturday 21st July - Ripon

Sunday 22nd July - Redcar

Monday Evening 23rd July - Open morning at David O'Meara's yard followed by evening racing at Beverley

Tuesday 24th July - Open morning at Robin Bastiman's yard followed by a Behind The Scenes tour of Wetherby Racecourse.

Wednesday 25th July - Catterick

Thursday Evening 26th July - Doncaster after an open morning at Scott Dixon's yard.

Friday 27th July - Thirsk

Friday Evening 27th July - York

Saturday 28th July - York

Sunday 29th July - Pontefract

PONTEFRACT RACES SUNDAY 29TH JULY - THE FINALE TO THE YORKSHIRE SUMMER RACING FESTIVAL!

The first of 7 great races is at 2.20pm.

The gates will open at 11.30am. Come along early and join in the Family Day fun with childrens funfair, circus, face painting, marching band plus free sweets for children.
