FAMILY DAYS

Pontefract Racecourse holds Family Days on the following Sundays

Sunday 20th June (First Race 2.10pm) - FATHERS DAY

Sunday 25th July (First Race 2.05pm)

Sunday 15th August (First Race 2.10pm)

On each Sunday raceday, the Picnic Enclosure is packed out with Childrens Rides, Bouncy Castle, Circus, Facepainters and Clowns.

Racegoers arrive early to bag a good position next to the rails and then they're set for the day. Watch some great racing while enjoying a true family day out. Bring a picnic for the day, or buy some food from one of the many vending vans or restaurants on site.

All kids get either free sweets or a free ice cream as well (depending on the day)!

There's a marching band and 2 big screens so that you don't miss out on any of the action.

Gates are open from 11.30am on each Family Day.

We also do special FAMILY TICKETS which are only available in advance. These discounted tickets admit 2 adults and as many children as you like into the Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure for only £16 (a saving of £10 per ticket). They must be booked in advance. They are available from the Racecourse Offices 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday or on the Saturday morning immediately before each Sunday up to 1pm.  After this time they can be booked online until MIDNIGHT ON SATURDAY. They are NOT available on a raceday.
