Course Details

Pontefract Racecourse is the longest continuous circuit in Europe at 2m and 125yds. It stages flat racing between the end of March and the end of October.

It is a left handed course with a home straight of just over 2 furlongs.

The majority of the last 4 furlongs are uphill and so suits a strong staying type of horse.
